UNIC will launch its 2017 Holocaust education outreach activite for 2017 at the COSTAATT purpose build campus in Chaguanas, Trinidad. The College of Science, Tehnology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago together with the Rotary Club of Central Port of Spain agreed to be the first host and provide the audience for the screening of the video titled - " A path to Nazi Genocide".
Students participating in the training lead up to Model United Nations 2017 will be the UNIC's first group to see our latest additon to the travelling exhibit. It is titled "State of Deception. The power of Nazi Propaganda" , which showcases the use of propangada tools particularly multimedia which was very new and trending during the second World War. It tells how Europeans bought into the lies and half-truths that were being spread about the Jews and other undesirables at the time.
This exhibit aims to make us think more about the unethical use of media and contemporary forms of communications to intentionally spread misleading and harmful information about marginalised groups of people or individuals and the grave impact that is has or may lead to.
For more information about where the exhibit goes next or to request it call us or send an email.
