Youth and the United Nations:The United Nations has formalised its working relationship with youth all over the world. Through the Secretary-General's Youth Envoy the Organisation seeks to engage young men and women in dialogue and activism, so that their opinion and ideas of what the future should be is included in the UN's agenda leading up to 2030 and beyond.
Just like their peers around the world the young people of Tobago are encouraged to join our campaigns, speak up for those issues the feel strongly about and learn what it means to be part of the international community.

Small Island Developing States
Small Island Developing States or SIDS refer to the United Nations focus on the impact on small island communities because of climate change as a result of human activity. The UN launched the SDIS agenda in Barbados in 1994 - It is referred to as the Barbados Platform for Action.16 Caribbean Countries are part of the SIDS network including Trinidad and Tobago.
